Kedves Nyelvtanulók!

Egy szorgalmas nyelvtanulóm 2010-ben Írországban nyári gyakorlaton vett részt, melynek keretében angol nyelvtudását nagy mértékben tudta fejleszteni. Két hónapot töltött el Írországban, augusztus végén jött haza, hogy itthoni tanulmányait folytassa. Hozzájárult ahhoz, hogy közzé tegyük élménybeszámolóját, mely más fiatal nyelvtanulók számára is kellő motivációt nyújthat hasonló tapasztalatok szerzésére:

"My summer in Ireland"

 

"If I wanted to summerise my explorations, experiences and wanted to make a difference between Hungary and Ireland, I wouldn’t have too easy task.

 

Firstly I would like to thank my great summer holiday in Ireland for the Equipeople. This  summer was the best in my life ever. I’ve never been in abroad, never travelled by plane, seen the ocean and -of course- I have never spoken the languange so well before as now. This doesn’t mean the correct using of english but it has improved a lot and I’m sure it is improving nowadays too.

The amazing landscape, fresh air and people’s friendliness, patience made my mood better. So, I was learning while I was having a good time.

 

When I had left my motherland I was frightened but also brave. I was afraid of the new place, lifestyle and languange. After I arrived I was a bit shy but everybody was really kind with me, so a few days later I felt Ireland as home. The summer was fantastic so I didn’t mind preparing so much for my journey.

The main task was looking after dogs, cats and other smaller animals. In the first times I was working with an Irish girl. She taught me to do the job easily. Then I worked alone. I hated the answering phone but I had to get used to it. So, today I can speak with an english person through the line. In the second part of my summer I had to welcome the owners alone. When I started to work alone I was a bit embarrased because I couldn’t communicate in english with the costumers. In fact these were the worst days but in the end of the holiday I didn’t have any problems with my job. I understood more or less everything and I enjoyed my life in the countryside. I had just one smaller problem with the country. There wasn’t any public transport so it was hard enough to move somewhere. My host family was really helpful and sometimes they helped me to visit some famous places. So, they made me to go to Galway, Dublin and Forest Park possible.

 

They are very nice people and I have a very strong relationship with them. Maybe this is one of my best freindships. In my opinion we got on well with each other. This was a real family life with some smaller problems but we could find the solution for everything.

 

To some up, I’m the happiest person in the whole world. I suggest to take part in this kind of summer holiday programs. I would like to encourange everybody, who has a summer as a lesurer time, to join to Equipeople. That’s true you have to pay for the joining and the tickets but you’ll earn some money.

 

In my experience this organisation is excellent for tthose persons who have a summer holiday and who like travelling all over the world.
